Turnkey Package for a machine tool manufacturer
A large machine tool manufacturer asked us to provide a bespoke solution for an end user that required complex fixtures for a variety of machines.
Our Solution
We worked with the machine tool manufacturer to offer a sketched solution which they presented to the end user and which were approved in principle. The machine tool manufacturer then asked us to deal with the end user directly in order to complete the design of the fixtures to the exacting requirements of the project. Our skilled designers then offered expert advice on the best solution and designed the fixtures appropriately. Once the design was signed off, the fixtures were produced to short lead times and were delivered by our own delivery vehicle with an engineer in attendance when the fixture was delivered, so advice could be offer at the point of delivery of the fixture.
Solution for an engineering company requiring a fixture for machining a new product
A manufacturer of keys requested that we find a solution to enable them to more efficiently manufacture keys and speed up the production process.
Our Solution
We worked directly with the engineering company that manufactured keys to offer an expert solution to their problem. They ordered a shaving tool from us to resize blanks which enabled them to meet tight specifications. We designed and produced a series of gauges that enables them to shave only the keys that required shaving, pass all keys that were within tolerance and reject any keys that were supplied that were outside of tolerance. We delivered the product in our own delivery vehicle and ensured that one of our engineers was in attendance at the customers site to ensure that any questions could be answered on delivery of the fixture.
Conversion from Pneumatic Tailstock to Hydraulic Tailstock for Indexer Trunnion Assembly for a Machine Tool Manufacturer
A machine tool manufacturer asked us to convert our standard pneumatic tailstocks for a number of indexer trunnion assemblies into hydraulic tailstocks.
Our Solution
We worked with the machine tool manufacturer to adapt our standard pneumatic tailstocks into hydraulic tailstocks which saved time and cost for the customer and removed the requirement of fitting the air supply. This involved working with the customer on design changes and adapting our production processes. The completed product fulfilled the customers exacting requirements and this product is now offered as a standard product to all of our customers meaning that they have the choice between a pneumatic tailstock and hydraulic tailsotck when ordering one of our bespoke trunnion assemblies with our standard tailstock.
